Acer will come out this holiday season, the new Aspire AS8940G-6865 Core i7-based laptop. The new Aspire notebook is stimulated by an Intel Core i7-720QM processor 1.6GHz, 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTS250M. The 18.4-inch Aspire AS8940G-6865 packs a hard drive 500 GB 5400 rpm and a 4X blu-ray/dvd Combo drive. It is 18.4-inch CrystalBrite LED backlit display to 1920 × 1080p Full HD resolution.

The notebook includes support for 802.11a/b/g/n, an Acer CrystalEye webcam, a multi-in-1 card reader for memory cards, an HDMI port and an eSATA port.Acer Aspire AS8940G-6865 is equipped with a 5 speakers Acer CineSurround Sound System and features Dolby Home Theater Audio Enhancement.

The machine also offers a Capacitive-Touch Media Control Interface. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Priced at $ 1349.99, an 8-cell battery is included. [via itechnews]
