    May 15, 2010 | Acer, Notebook | Comments Off

VentureBeat reported that Acer is set to launch new OS based devices Chrome as little as two weeks. The new devices (we assume that netbooks and perhaps SmartBooks) will be launched at Computex Taipei held from June 1 to June 5.

    Acer Chrome OS Devices Netbook

Google [GOOG] Chrome OS designed to run on netbooks, tablets and SmartBook devices, so it could be one of those focusing on the netbook and probably SmartBooks. No further information is known about Acer and their plans for Chrome OS, but since June is only a few weeks, it will not be long before you find for sure where they go with Chrome OS.

It is not known yet how Google Chrome will run Android and OS and how each will be chosen for the devices. We are starting to see Android based tablets showing Up which follows the model of Apple [] AAPL in what they are using the iPhone OS IPAD. We have heard that Chrome and Android OS could end up being confused with the time that would perhaps put a cloud over Android OS as a base OS is Chrome. [via gadgetvenue]
