Acer Dismisses Tablets Touch
February 4, 2010 | Acer, Hewlett-Packard | 1 CommentWhile the technology world and consumers in general seem deeply divided on the IPAD, it seems other companies are much less intimidated by the latest creation from Apple than they were by people like iPhone and iPod touch.

Underscoring the impression that week after the launch are somewhat disappointing Acer and Google. The former president of Taiwan, Scott Lin has seen confirm that it will stick to netbooks and SmartBooks and while he did not reject the IPAD Specifically, he questioned its relevance in the broad sense:
“Historically, closed platforms are typically limited in terms of scale and are confined to niche markets,” he said. “Apple has built its business by carving his own niche, which means that if Apple could see success with devices like the IPAD, other players will probably not be able to reproduce his results simply copy”.
