    Acer T230H – 23in Full HD Multi-Touch Monitor

    March 22, 2010 | Acer, Monitor | 1 Comment

The popular Apple iPhone multi-touch since it is now an essential feature on the phone and growing in importance on PC too. Since the launch of Microsoft’s excellent Windows 7 every PC can accept any input to connect – all that is required is the physical means. If you buy a new system, you can just pick something like the Acer Aspire 5738PG or multi-touch equivalent ET2203T EeeTop Asus, but if you want a desktop system that you’re down to two options: either the Wacom Bamboo Pen & touch pad or a touch screen like the Acer T230H us today.

    Acer T230H - 23in Multi-Touch Monitor

As we have already seen in other Full HD Multi-touch screens, including SX2210T Dell 21.5IN and 22in Iiyama ProLite T2250MTS, Acer beat well these options with a screen size of 23 inches. Not only that, but it also seems to have been an advantage when it comes to setting. Of course, he needs all the advantages it can happen to justify an award of almost £ 300.

Open the box up exceptionally important, first impressions are good. Generous supply of cables includes Acer VGA, HDMI, USB A to B, and 3.5mm audio. DVI is the only absentee, even if the connection is included on the monitor. The T230H itself comes in two parts. The screen attached to the leg rotates in the basement, and after tightening a thumb-screw ring you’re done. Although not as simple as a click in and go system used by superb U2410 Dell UltraSharp, it is easily up there with the best of the rest.

Once assembled, it is not only heavier but also more flexible than many other monitors. In fact, the stand is strangely similar to that used on old Dell UltraSharp 2408, which is certainly not a bad thing. The basic form of V is solid shiny black plastic on a metal frame, with a hint not to creak or flex. The neck of the monitor is an advantage of two-tone metallic silver and matte black case. It does not feel quite as strong but is still well built, and especially provides a good range of settings.

After releasing a locking mechanism of the T230H Acer offers 110mm of height adjustment, a decent amount of swivel and 20 degree tilt. Only the backbone is missing from this list, but fortunately, this is the least used of the lot and is never perfect, a TN due to the technology of viewing angles inherent limited. Adjustments are easy enough to do, but if you press the monitor to its lowest (about 5.5 cm on the desktop), you must unlock it again. [via trustedreviews]
