Asus M4A89GTD Pro-USB3 Motherboard Manufacturers
May 1, 2010 | Asus, Hardware | 2 CommentsThe Pro/USB3 M4A89GTD uses new AMD 890GX IGP, which combines the latest 890GX Northbridge with SB850 Southbridge. 890GX features the new ATI Radeon HD4290 integrated graphics chip (basically a overclocked HD4200 whether this new solution, and DirectX10.1, and HDMI 1.3 video output from its predecessor DX10 and HDMI 1.2) and has 24 PCIe channels.

Latest AMD Southbridge integrates six native SATA support GB / s and increases the number of USB 2.0 ports available from the 12 found on the previous generation chipset 14. Unfortunately, there is no native USB 3.0, but like most motherboard manufacturers Asus has circumvented this difficulty by using a USB 3.0 controller NEC, which offers two ports.
Asus bundle included is fairly standard, consisting of a cable guide and driver CD, cable EIDE, SATA, four (two SATA 3Gb / s and two SATA 6Gb / s), and two additions to the spindle system of Q -Connector, which lets you connect all the son obvious case these extensions before inserting them into the appropriate header pin set.
On the card itself, the Pro / USB3 M4A89GTD is a very interesting piece of kit. Although not the nervousness of the MSI P55-GD65 or even Asus own P7P55D-Deluxe, its combination of light and dark blues with cream, white, brown and black is certainly attractive. What really stands out is the impressive cooling setup on the mosfets around the CPU socket, with heat sinks that are almost abstract pieces of art. [via trustedreviews ]
