aXbo Sleep Phase Alarm Clock Gadgets

Nobody is particularly keen to get up in the morning, so anything that can make this task is unfortunately necessary easier probably a good thing. This is exactly what the aXbo Clock offers, but with a cost (including shipping) from 217 Euros around £ 190. Yes, nearly 200 pounds for a revival if it must be seriously special to justify the cost.

While the design is not enough to convince, it is easy to see why aXbo SPAC (an unfortunate acronym) has won many awards in this category. Its glossy finish and white and silver, sculptured curves and symmetrical appearance is attractive to the eye and should sit well with modern decor.

All this bodes well for the next high tech aXbo. You see, to help you feel fresh and ready to go in the morning, it measures your movements during the night and then wakes you at the best time until 30 minutes before the “last days” warning as decided by you. This, says aXbo is that you just never woke up at the perfect time for you, not when you’re still in a period of deep sleep that will make you feel weak and tired.

How does it do? In the box with the alarm clock, AC adapter and USB cable are two small plastic sensors and matching bracelets. When you go to bed, you set your alarm, then activate the sensor, the slide inside the bracelet, you will be ready to wear while you sleep. This test measures your movements during the night, which then interprets the clock to work out the sleep phase you are in. You should wear one of these sensors, however, with the further condition so that two people can the used simultaneously.

In addition, using the supplied USB cable, you can download your sleep data to your PC and view it using the software tool’s aXbo. This can be downloaded from the website aXbo, which oddly requires that you register and enter the serial number of your device. This feature could be very clean, but the software provides absolutely no idea of the data, making unnecessary a little beyond knowing exactly how long you slept – somewhat difficult to work anyway.
