Banned XBox Users Might Unban Hack Games

    November 15, 2009 | Electronics, Games | 2 Comments

Microsoft has recently banned an enormous amount of Xbox owners (about 1 million of them) to access Xbox Live due to them running XBOX 360. Microsoft at the time of the ban said the only way to access Xbox Live was basically buy a new XBox console and not the mod. Pirates of course did not sit back and accept that it seems a workaround has already been established that if you do a little tinkering to the firmware running, you can actually connect to the new service.

The process seems to be fairly complicated, which requires that you use iXtreme LT (Light Touch) to cover some of the signals that tell Microsoft that you are using a hacked console while at the same time, acting like a modded console can always do what it did before.

Rather than repeat the complicated process here, I’d say check out DailyTech with a list of instructions and all necessary steps to get your console back online. One thing to note also that the entire process requires the use of a number of free tools, so use at your own risk. Now, I doubt that all owners of 1M hacked consoles will get back online because of the complexity, but the next step might be that someone will create a single pass tool to unlock your Xbox with a single click instead a complex process.
