    BenQ W600 Digital Projector

When I tested BenQ W1000 projector recently, I thought foolishly to 998 pounds, it was cheap. Turns out, however, that BenQ had a different idea of “cheap” waiting in the wings: the W600. For despite being HD Ready and boasting some surprisingly high numbers other spec we will come back in a minute, the W600 is £ 499. Good, in fact, grief.

The award comes despite boasting W600 ratio 3000:1 contrast as well as the W1000 and a brightness level is actually higher – at 2,600 ANSI Lumens – that the 2,000 ANSI lumens quoted for double-as-W1000 expensive. Moreover, BenQ assures us that the W600 uses the same color wheel with six segments found on the W1000. Fans of aesthetics, however, will definitely not consider the W600 as the template to be selected on W1000. For while the W1000 was no oil painting, the W600 is finished gloss white and a little metallic strip of high level can not hide the fact that it looks like your average fantasy data free or at Projector education, rather than something designed from the lower to honor a coffee table in a lounge Swish.

The W600 is its brother slot slot when it comes to connections, though. Each has two HDMIs and component video, composite video, S-Video and analogue PC input. As each has audio inputs in the PC and RCA flavors, for the simple reason that each projector has a built-in speaker audio. This makes sense, “Occasional end” of the projection market, because there are good chances that these projectors will be coming out of a closet where and when they wanted – a situation that does not lend itself to a sort somehow on an audio feed of a kind system separates. He W600 is a simple matter 2W mono, you see, making it third overall less powerful than the one found in the W1000. This effectively creates a significant difference in performance, as we shall see later discovered.

As might be expected with a cheap projector, the W600, like the W1000, sporting fairly short throw distance, so it can produce decent-sized images without the need for a space dedicated to home theater . For example, you can usually get a 59.5in image from a projection distance of 2m. Please note, however, that the W600 has virtually no optical zoom at all, just 1.15x, which is much less than you got with the equally limited W1000. It quickly became apparent during set up, too, that the shares of his brothers and sisters more expensive W600 lacks any vertical or horizontal image Shifting, leaving you most likely have to use the correction – actually a technique of digital distortion – to get some images on your screen or wall with straight edges.
