Canon EOS 60D Digital Camera
January 31, 2010 | Canon, Digital Camera | 1 CommentThe PMA Photo Expo is just around the corner and a flight today mentions that Canon could be exhibiting DSLRs with swivel display. Two new cameras have been specifically mentioned, including the Canon EOS 60D and a new rebel activity that are reported to feature an articulating LCD to allow image capture at uncomfortable angles.

The Canon 60D will fall into the category of mid-range digital SLRs from Canon and Predictor mentions that the 60D will contain the same metal body of the EOS 50D with the same resolution of 15 megapixels while the sensor used to achieve this will be new. It is expected that the low light sensitivity of the EOS 7D will be found in the 60D.
In addition to an enhanced sensor the camera will be able to capture 1080p video at 30 frames per second. The Rebel camera is tipped to be similar to the T1i Rebel (aka EOS 500D), but the similarities with the camera will also use the sensor of the EOS 60D. It is expected that the new Rebel will be able to capture video in 720p at 30 frames per second but it is unclear whether the device will be able to bump that up to 1080p at 20 frames per second capture as T1i is capable .
