Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera

A couple of years ago the range of Canon digital SLR consisted of a three-digit “entry level” model such as the EOS 350D or 400D, a model with two digits for advanced amateurs and semi – professionals such as the EOS 30D or 40D, then it was the only professional models to three figures as the EOS 5D and EOS-1D models.
This year, despite the difficult economic situation, the major manufacturers have expanded their field of consumer DSLR in both directions. Nikon has introduced the D3000 and D5000, and the new D300, and Sony has added a whole new models to its already impressive range. For its part, Canon introduced the EOS 1000D as a new model level, while the EOS 500D and EOS 50D now share the balance. However, it is the upper end of the range of consumer who attracts the most attention, because Canon has launched a new semi-pro camera flagship, the highly anticipated EOS 7D.
The 7D fills a gap that had opened the Canon range between 15.1-megapixel, EOS 50D at 700 pounds and the 21.1 megapixel full-frame EOS 5D Mk II for £ 1,800. With a 18 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and a prize of £ 1500 body only 7D hits the mark perfectly. It offers enough advantages over the 50D to attract serious amateurs to upgrade, while creating a quality performance and versatility are not far below the 5D MkII, offering an alternative for those who can not justify any in fact the leap to full-frame.
Many commentators have characterized the 7D as an upgrade of the 50D, but I had described as a Lite 5D MkII. In terms of size and weight, it is certainly closer to his brothers and sisters full frame. It is a few millimeters narrower and shorter, but his body weight is only 10g heavier. The body shape and overall feel of the device is not unlike the 5D MkII, and the build quality is comparable as well, with a hull in tough magnesium alloy body and full environmental sealing.
