Canon PIXMA iP3600 All In One Printer
June 28, 2010 | Canon, Printer | 1 CommentMost iP3600 is nested in the shiny, black piano, which looks good until it starts to show fingerprints or scratches. There is a simple silver band on the front, as obvious.

This printer has a very simple mechanical design, with paper feeding from a flip-up tray 120-sheet at the back of a two-stage telescopic output tray at the front . To print photos, you remove the plain paper and the guides to the narrow width of your photo paper the machine can deal with white 15 x 10 cm to A4.
As a secondary flow, it is a 120-sheet paper cassette and the slots from the front, providing an exceptionally high capacity of 240 sheets for a cheap printer. Unlike tapes Canon all-in-one, that projects the front of the printer during use, increasing its global footprint.
There are only two commands on the machine, each assigned to buttons – with associated LED indicators – right on the edge curve. The top one is for power and the bottom paper feed or cancel print jobs.
The rear jacks are for the USB data connection on a single machine, and power. At least the power is integrated and the PIXMA iP3600 does not require separate power supply.
Installing the hardware is simply a matter of connecting the five ink cartridges in their support on the printhead. There are two black inks in this machine: a pigment for printing text on plain paper and a dye for photo prints. Each cartridge holder has an integrated red LED to show when it is properly adjusted and indicate which cartridge to replace when the ink is exhausted.
Installing the software includes a driver for Windows versions are planned from 2000 and OS X from 10.3.9. There is no apparent support for Linux. Other software in the bundle includes Canon Easy-PhotoPrint EX, which offers basic photo editing. [via trustedreviews]
