Canon PIXMA iP4700 Smaller Inkjet All In One Printer

The PIXMA IP4700 is a little smaller than MP and MX range of Canon all-in-one, but still could not be characterized as low. With its high gloss black top, sides and front panels, is quick to take fingerprints, but it is always wise for that.

It has several design elements of its all-in-one brothers and sisters, including dual paper tray. One aspect to the rear of the top cover is folded and extends to become a 150-sheet rear tray and there is a 150-sheet cassette, which slides underneath the machine, too, although it still covers the ‘front of the machine. Canon recommends that you load the photo paper into the rear tray and plain paper in the cassette, but the rear tray is taking.

The front panel of the machine folds down and extends to become the output bin and there is an internal flip cover that opens to reveal a slot to insert the CD / DVD carrier, as the machine can print directly on disks coated properly.

The controls and indicators are minimal, with a power button and ignite the highly curved right-hand front corner. There is a power button and indicator directly below, but it’s for a physical inspection. There are no slots for memory cards, which is a shame on a machine that is good for photos, but there is a PictBridge-making. At the rear is a single USB socket, the only data connection from computer to printer PIXMA IP4700. [via trustedreviews]
