Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z77 Digital Camera
November 29, 2008 | Casio, Digital Camera, Electronics, Gadgets | Comments OffCasio inches its Exilim Zoom series with the EX-Z77, a minor upgrade of the Exilim EX-Z75. The Z77 retains many aspects of its predecessor equipment, but has a new image processor and a few other new features.

The EX-Z77 maintains the same slim profile and control layout as the Z75. You can access most functions through the camera’s large, circular joypad and the four narrow buttons clustered around him. Besides simple menu navigation, these buttons also access the camera’s collection of Best Shot scene presets, open its system menu, and switch between recording and playback. Although the control buttons feel a little too small and too flat, the joystick and zoom buttons fit comfortably under the thumb, even great.
Besides some small upgrades, the EX-Z77 does not offer many changes from its predecessor. It retains the same 7-megapixel resolution, even relatively slow 38mm-114mm-equivalent F3.1-F5.9 lens, and even slightly grainy 2.6-inch, 114,960-pixel TFT LCD screen as the Z75. Despite the hardware similarities, the Z77 incorporates Casio Exilim the new Engine 2.0 image processor, which slightly perked camera on the performance of his elder brother.Despite the EX-Z77 of the low pixel LCD, its 14:9 widescreen aspect ratio offers plenty of room for a small menu with measures to control most parameters of the device. You can quickly access commonly used controls such as ISO sensitivity and white balance by pressing up or down on the lever and cycling through the sidebar different slots.
