Dell Latitude XT2 XFR Multitouch Tablet PC
October 29, 2009 | Dell, Hewlett-Packard | 1 CommentDell announced the new Latitude XFR XT2, the industry’s smallest 12.1-inch rugged convertible tablet PC which is also the first to have a multi display. The tablet is based on the XT2 and is designed to meet the unique needs and demanding clients in the army, police, border patrol, etc. .., the XFR T2 tested to meet MIL-810G performance standards in difficult environments and IP54 ingress protection and resistance to moisture and dust.
The rugged XFR Latitude XT2 is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor with up to 5GB of DDR3 RAM. It can be equipped with optional hot-swappable modules including GPS (in the weeks to come) and camera and tape extension option that provides camera / light, standard, and RJ11 inputs. The tablet PC has a 12.1-inch sunlight viewable multi-gesture capacitive touch enabled display.
Dell Latitude XT2 XFR QuadCool includes thermal management system for excellent performance even in extreme temperatures of minus 10 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It is available with 4 -, 6 – and 9-cell options. The XT2 XFR starts at $ 3599. [via itechnews]
