Eee PC 901 LED Mod Notebook
A mod is a light indicating an added Eee PC 901, the mod consists of a three-color LED that can flash to the attention of a new Twitter, email or instant message involved
The idea is similar to that used in cellular phones, the various indications flash can mean different things. For the moment, the LED mod works with Gmail, Twitter and Pidgin, but it has the capacity to be added to many other software.
The material covered by the LED is located on the lid of the laptop, it lets you see the flash through the room, even when the display is in standby. The lamp is powered via a USB port, the circuit board is hidden near the battery. [via product-reviews]
