The RX500 includes Epson Easy PhotoFix technology – a combination of hardware and software designed to restore the old, discolored or faded photographs at the touch of a button. The RX500 using six ink cartridges (two more than most other multifunction printers, we have seen), which means you have to replace only the ink in the short, reducing operating costs. The printer also offers free computer, digital camera printing options. Unfortunately, the RX500 does not have an LCD preview. Finally, the RX500 works with Windows 98 and newer operating systems and Macintosh OS X – rare versatility for a consumer-oriented printer.
