Evolution R-1 Pico Projector Beambox Display
April 3, 2009 | Display, Electronics | 1 CommentPico projector is the size of a mobile phone and are capable of projecting 50 – 60 inch screen in a dark room. Beambox have created their version of the Pico, which has a brightness level of 30 lumens. He was appointed Evolution R-1 pico and promises to a screen size of 100 inches.

The evolution of R-1 LCoS Pico uses a chip that displays a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. A mixture of slightly higher resolution and a brightness of 30 lumens into a nice little projector. The use of LCoS chips tiny liquid crystals that are applied to the surface of a silicon chip. This allows higher resolutions with more contrast on DLP projectors. Beambox have used this technology, but decreased in the resolution a bit and it crashed to their projector. I hope it will work well.
Due to the average brightness than changes in R-1 is capable of projecting images up to 100 inches. However, a number of pico-projector manufacturers have argued the magic 100-inch screen, but tend to fall short of 30 inches during the test. Hopefully the Beambox not suffer in this way.
This projector has a capacity of 1 GB of internal memory which can be extended by another 4 GB microSD. It seems that policy makers want to create this projector as a projection of where you store films and presentations on him rather than to connect to a phone or a laptop. The iPod scroll wheel that can also be found on the ads on this theory in that you can sit on a desktop and click play.
A speaker is built in 1W than the measures that probably used to make the Beambox a beatbox. Battery life is also a concern because it is capable of only 90 minutes today. Hopefully, most batteries will be available shortly after the launch on April 1st, when it should retail for $ 360. [ via gadgetvenue ]
