The company is expanding its user base by announcing Facebook Connect in many other languages. Claimed to be implemented on nearly 15,000 sites, devices and applications worldwide since it was first launched in December 2008, this announcement should allow developers to make Facebook Connect service in the language of their choice.

Over the past 18 months, Facebook’s site itself is known to have been translated into 64 languages and locales. With many others in the manufacture, officially facebook Connect also extends to the internationalization of these sites. Its characteristics can be exploited in other languages than English. Developers can choose which language they wish Facebook Connect to be delivered.
Thus, developers who have implemented Facebook Connect, including those who have installed such as social widgets box fans can choose their language. Upon implementation of this new feature, the site with Facebook Connect functions will be displayed in the chosen language. This, the company claims will allow users and developers to have a consistent and seamless user experience.
