Gateway C-140X and E-295C 14 Inch Cheap Convertible tablet PC

Gateway has launched Tablet PC affordable “C-140X and E-295C” by 14 “convertible big screen (you can rotate the screen and flat across the keyboard) that can work with Wacom’s digital pen technology which specializes in digital art. The battery-free pen has 256 levels of sensitivity for different effects, and will register contact even when used to tilt and is ideal for simulating paint on canvas.

C-140X is a home and home office laptop with the base price of $ 1099.99 and E-295C is suitable for middle and large enterprises with base price of $ 1549.00. Both are based on Intel platform Santa Rosa. The Tablet PC offers the next generation IntelCore 2 Duo processors (T7100, T7300, T7500, T7700 or processor), up to 4 GB of DDR2 memory, integrated Intel GMA X3100 graphics or an optional AMD-ATI dedicated graphics solution (ATI Mobility Radeon X2300 HD), Intel 802.11 a / b / g Wi-Fi and four options battery offering up to 10.6 hours.

Both laptops are powered by up to 120 GB SATA hard disk and a built-in DVD burner or Combo drive. Both come with a laptop 14.0 “WXGA TFT Active Matrix with a maximum of 1280 x 768 – pixel resolution. Regarding network connectivity, Gateway C-140 / E-295C feature 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN connection, an optional Bluetooth module, a 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet and a modem 56 K. It has three USB ports, a FireWire port, VGA output, PC Card Type II slot, a 7-in-1 memory card reader (Memory Stick, MemoryStick Pro, MultiMedia, Secure Digital, xD-Picture Card, Mini Secure Digital RS-Multimedia Card).

The pro version E-295C provides enhanced security, it is Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 and a fingerprint reader as an option. They will run Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows XP Tablet Edition. There is no data for the weight of these laptops, but I think they should remain in the range of mid-size laptops.
