    General Dynamics presents its new V2 laptop Tadpold Topaz strong and light that is environmentally tested to MIL-STD-810F and tested to MIL-STD-461E for electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility.

    V2 Topaz is stimulated by a choice of Intel Core 2 Duo, up to 8GB of RAM, integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics. The rugged handheld has a 2.5-inch drive up to 500GB or 240GB SSD and a removable DVD burner. It comes with a 15.1-inch 1400 × 1050 with touch screen option. WiFi 802.11n and Ethernet LAN are supported.

    Other features include two Type I / II PCCard / PCMCIA slot, ExpressCard 34/54 slot, built-in smart card reader and integrated TPM. It is integrated handle and a removable shoulder strap for easy transport. [via itechnews]
