Gigabyte T1000 Intel Atom N470 CPU
March 3, 2010 | Computer, Hardware | Comments OffGigabyte launched their new T1000 Tablet netbook device that will run a new Intel Atom N470 processor and a multi-touch screen. It is a shame that the T1000 Gigabyte is not exactly zero, as the specifications look to be just right for a tablet as it performs a fast processor, has a decent amount of RAM and is multitouch.

The new CPU runs at 1.83 GHz while the capacity is 2 GB of memory. The multi-touch screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and is on a rotating hinge allows the device to be used as a tablet. The keyboard on the T1000 is said to be good, even if the decline is that the T1000 multitouch panel requires a firm press to use them.
Other problems were noted, including lack of a sensor to detect screen orientation (and the lack of a button to achieve this goal, too). Also the mouse buttons look to be very frustrating to be on either side of the touchpad instead of the traditional below that everyone is accustomed. [via gadgetvenue]
