HP LaserJet P3015X Mono Laser Printer
August 23, 2009 | Component, Computer, Printer | 3 CommentsThe main requirements of a monochrome laser printer to a larger office high-speed, low operating cost and flexibility. HP P3015X has the specifications to meet all of these, but any reader of these comments knows, these characteristics are often tinged with pink. This printer will not be available in the UK until the first week of September 09, if the prices of machinery and consumables for the end of May, the lowest figures that we quote here.

After the last HP design trends, P3015X is full of non-functional, but aesthetically pleasing, large radius curves of cream and black signs of his body. The “X” version of the printer comes standard with a second paper tray, located under the main printer and accentuates curves. Both trays can take a full ream of 500 sheets of paper and fold it is a multi-purpose tray, too, for a maximum of 100 sheets of special media.
The upper surface of the printer has a large indent, as well, to take the output of large documents and there is a neat, well-designed control panel on the right side, before a 4-line 16 characters , back – lit LCD screen. Self-diagnosis in the printer correctly identified that we had not filled the tray down and when we induced a jam, he showed a diagram of how to delete it.
At the front of the control panel is a keypad, which works with the USB plug on the front, designed so that you can print PDF files, but unfortunately not jpg, tif or doc. The inclusion of the step of printing facilities may still be very useful for rapid, single print, however. Input ports are Gigabit Ethernet and USB, so that the printer is compatible with fast networks directly from the box. There is no inheritance in parallel, though. The HP uses the design of a traditional drum and toner cartridge, which minimizes maintenance costs, as is the work of a couple of minutes to slide a cartridge and insert another.
Software provided on the CD consists of a PCL 6 driver, obviously not to emulation, because it is an HP printer, and PostScript Level 3, which is emulated. Drivers are provided for Windows and OS X and are available for Novell NetWare and the various Linux distributions. [via trustedreviews]
