HTC HD2 Android Port OS Devices Smartphones
June 27, 2010 | Cell Phones, HTC | 1 CommentThe HD2 HTC runs Windows Mobile 6.5. This is a problem because the material is amazing, but the software is just not that good at all compared to the likes of Android and IOS.

The folks at XDA Developers have spent some time working on getting Android OS on HTC HD2, but because of incompatibilities and other problems they have failed … that is up to these days where progress has been made.
Reasons for the problem include the processor and Haret Snapdragon is used to boot Linux from Windows CE devices. When HARET was used in the past, he crashed on the bottom HD2 making it impossible to get Android on the HD2. Fixes have been made but allow HARET run without crashing.
XDA People have managed to circumvent these problems, and some how expect the HTC HD2 could soon be running a version of Android. Of course, we are still far enough away so it seems (maybe a month or two) to get a job build, but it is good to see progress. [via gadgetvenue]
