HTC Touch Pro2 Large Keyboard Screen Phone

Recently mentioned to someone that I would be keeping my TyTN II for a little longer, even after his contract ends in a few weeks. However, seeing the HTC Touch Pro2 this morning, I think I might change my mind. The HTC Touch Pro is a great phone, but the Touch Pro2 just ads for the class in the looks department.

The HTC Touch Pro2 has a sliding keyboard and a screen that tilts up like the TyTN II. The keyboard is spacious and the reports I read, it seems very useful. Although less than a phone keypad is generally thinner and lighter, I prefer a little more physical virtual keyboard like so many others too. A change to most mobile phones with built-in speaker is that it has a technology that Straight Talk attempts to give a clear sound and reception of voice when using the handsfree function. With this phone to be used in a conference of the menu also reflect this change and all the options you need to launch a conference call are right on the screen of the appellant, it is easier to use in these situations.

On the OS side of things, it runs on Windows Mobile 6.1. However, it was confirmed that it will be possible to upgrade (depending on the carrier, I suppose) for Windows Mobile 6.5 while the phone and the operating system is launched.

Connectivity is not lacking on this phone as it is a quad-band phone capable of GSM / GPRS / EDGE, UMTS / HSDPA and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. No real surprise here or advances. GPS can also be found in the device that lets you use applications such as satellite navigation or TomTom to use the camera and GPS as well as geo-tagging of photos. An accelerometer is also believed to find in this phone. The screen measures 3.6 inches and is TFT touch screen with a resolution 480 x 800 which is a step against the resolution of the TyTN II which is 240 x 320. [ via gadgetvenue ]
