Image Editing Tutorial Selective Monochrome Camera

It is a popular effect which has been used in some well-known movies, including Schindler’s List. Some cameras, like many compact Pentax and Samsung have the opportunity to produce an effect similar to the device, using software filters to select specific colors, but the results are usually quite rough. To do this really selective Monochrome correctly you need a computer and a toolkit of image manipulation.
For this tutorial, I use Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended as usual, but I concentrated on techniques that also work in most versions of Photoshop Elements, Paint Shop Pro, PhotoImpact, GIMP and the editing programs more advanced. Monochrome selective works best and is easiest to perform in images whose color of an element of the scene stands already on the bottom. As most of the effects of image editing more radical as it tends to be over-used, often on subjects for which it is totally inappropriate.
