November 13, 2009 | Component, Hardware | Comments OffIntel introduced the Intel processor, a mobile handheld device designed to empower people who have difficulty reading standard print. The reader converts printed text into digital text and then reads aloud to the user.

The reader based on an Intel Atom processor and comes with a high-resolution camera that allows users to point, shoot and hear the text printed. It measures in paperback.
The Intel Reader can help people aged 55 million in the United States who have dyslexia or other specific learning disabilities, or who have vision problems such as low vision or blindness, which makes the reading of words print difficult or impossible. [via itechnews]
