Software supplied with the scanner allows you to keep track of this DVD you have, as well as CDs, books, toys and anything else.
If you need to make one of your items to someone, you just have to scan with Intelliscanner and the system can be said that has borrowed and when you can always bring it back. If you use the software power management, you can keep track of what is in your cabinets and what needs to be replaced and when.
