Las Vegas PMA 2009 Samsung NX & Pentax Hybrid X70 Digital Camera
April 4, 2009 | Digital Camera, Electronics, Samsung | Comments OffEven before the PMA 2009 show starts, it appears that Samsung will pocket the gain. The introduction of the Samsung camera NX concept, which is a hybrid digital camera with exchangeable sensor DX and objective, is considered the immediate rival Micro Four Thirds system which was introduced last year. Although Samsung did attend the Sneak Peak, a model of the camera Samsung NX will be presented on the show to the press. We made an appointment with the camera Samsung United States and we will return to the camera Samsung NX details soon.

Rumors had it that a concept similar to that Samsung is on track to Pentax, but Pentax did not go in that direction immediately. There was a small announcement of a hybrid of a Pentax digital camera, but it has proved a Megazoom camera, the Pentax X70. Unfortunately, this has not been presented during Sneak Peak 2009. Rather disappointing at the same time say a lot. It seems that the close cooperation of Samsung and Pentax is gradually disintegrating. The Pentax camera division seems to have difficulties to follow, and it could become a crucial year for Pentax, also because of the global financial crisis. The number of participants from the PMA Sneak Peak 2009 and the number of visitors are certainly not disappointed at all. In a large room in the Renaissance Hotel Las Vegas, near the Las Vegas Convention Center, the new digital imaging products were presented in simple tables covered with white tablecloths. Various accessories such as software, lenses, GPS devices and so on, in addition to digital cameras, there was a so-called “Touch & Try”. [ via letsgodigital ]
