LG Press Conference IFA 2009 HDTV

HDTV dominated the show this time was the host society horribly misnamed new “border line.” As the pictures clearly show that there is a border, but the argument LG Indeed, a single sheet of glass covers both the screen and the bezel, it is without boundaries. Hmmmn.

Semantics aside, the range without Borders is very pleasant. It is primarily composed of two models, the “SL8000″ and “SL9000. The duo both feature backlit screens with 1080p technology downplaying 100 Hz motion blur and an LED screen, the SL9000 with 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The SL8000 drops the LED yet still scores a nutty 150,000:1 contrast ratio and boasts 200Hz scanning. In person, the displays are very fine and only 2.9 cm thick, they should look great on the wall. As for format support, you will find on each USB port that allows direct playback of JPEG, MP3, MPEG4 and DivX.

In addition to this pair, LG also unveiled the LH9500, another LED HDTV is the price of the IFA 2009 the most ridiculous Score dynamic contrast ratio to date of 5,000,000:1.
