Motorola DROID Android 2.2 Phone
May 24, 2010 | Cell Phones, Motorola | 1 CommentSlashgear reached out to Motorola’s recent questions about Android 2.2 updates their smartphones based Android OS. They managed to get a reply from Motorola, which basically says that Android 2.2 would the droid Motorola and other devices.
“We are pleased to see Google News for the next version of the Android operating system and we are excited to integrate our devices on Android as it is available to the open source community”.
Although I can not comment on the details, we expect that users will DROID Motorola Android 2.2 as a software update in the near future”.
It is good to see that they specifically mentioned the droid Motorola and Android 2.2 Update. Obviously, there was no timeline discussion, but they are most likely going to work on the new update as soon as possible, hopefully with a launch date in the coming months.
The first device to get the Android 2.2 Update will be Google [GOOG] Nexus One and after all depends on which carrier it first launch. [via gadgetvenue]
