NEC MultiSync EA231WMi 23in Monitor Display
February 26, 2010 | Monitor, NEC | 1 CommentThis is where connectivity NEC begins to deviate more expensive 24in display. VGA, DVI and DisplayPort cover most bases and NEC launches into a hub with four USB ports (two rear-mounted, two mounted on the sides), audio input and a headphone jack for good measure, but conspicuous by HDMI his absence.

NEC is one of our favorite manufacturers of monitors. This is partly because, as Eizo (see: Eizo Foris FX2431), it does not too often mediocrity. Neither, however, is much Dabble in consumer displays. His latest effort, we have seen was the ambitious MultiSync LCD24WMGX3 who, despite all its daring failed to capture the imagination of consumers and has since been discontinued. Specimen today the MultiSync EA231WMi, not a display of consumers, but its Full HD, 1920 x 1080 native resolution, 23in IPS panel and reasonable price make an application to monitor many people have to heart on.
Not that the NEC lack some of these extras. His interest for business users it means a rich setting; tilt, swivel, pivot and height are all within reach and there is a VESA mounting well. All these functions are well designed, too. Mechanisms are smooth and stable but there is a large handle on the back makes it easy to lift and adjust the monitor.
Our enthusiasm for this model is only tempered by the aesthetic design unusual, especially for our money and the white version, although a black version is also available that’ll probably see more action. Apart from our indifference to the color palette, however, design is much Demur as you want and Slim bezel is a particularly pleasant. [via trustedreviews]
