Targeted for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as education and government users, the new NEC monitors AS231WM joined four other green AccuSync Series (NEC AS171, AS191, and AS191WM AS221WM), which supports all ratings Silver EPEAT and ENERGY STAR 5.0 and 5.0 TCO compliance.

The new display AS231WM be available in May 2010 and an estimated retail price of $ 269.
The NEC LCD AS231WM consumes energy 50 percent less and contain the mercury content of 50 per cent less than conventional screens the same size. In addition, ECO mode technology allows end users to toggle between saving energy, helping to dramatically reduce energy consumption, heat production and prolong the life of the NEC LCD.

The monitor comes with NEC AS231WM Ambix dual input technology, which allows for digital / analog compatibility with video cards and software updated, and connections to both systems.
