Netbook TV Tuner Card Over Air Signals
July 30, 2009 | Computer, Notebook, UMPC | 1 CommentHauppauge Digital and MAXLINEAR work together to create a UMPC NETBOOK and TV card. The NETBOOK HD TV card will receive signals over the air. TV tuners for the NETBOOK are based on CMOS silicon tuner that MXL5007T MAXLINEAR built.
In addition to being able to pick up HD signals OTA TV tuners will be able to European standards, including DVB-H, DMB-T, DVB-T and QAM.Only 1 NETBOOK other TV tuner card currently exists which can be found in the Dell Mini 10 NETBOOK. This new card uses half the energy that the Mini 10 uses the TV tuner making it ideal for NETBOOK and saving battery. Measurements of the energy used only 350mW and it is very small, it turns far in the standard so that the bulk netBook, but will happen. [via gadgetvenue]
