The Nextar SNAP5 has a touch screen of 5 inches and is enclosed in an envelope of 0.7 inches thick which makes it a slim personal SatNav unit. As a fairly good-sized display a magnetic Nextar platform to be quickly mounted in the car and the unit has 2 speaker stereo sound quality.
Maps of the entire United States and Canada are included in this unit and speech is used (in English) to speak street names rather than a generic “turn left in 100 meters” message.
The included maps are stored on an SD card of 2 GB which allows them to be easily installed. A number of useful addresses are also included allowing you to more easily follow the nearest hotel or gas station.
