Despite this, and the enlarged footprint of the XL (161 vs. 133 x 91.4mm x 73.9mm), thickness is actually slightly thinner than the ISD 21.5mm to 21.2mm verses on the DSi. However, it is much heavier at 314g cons CIOs 214g and 218g DSi Lite. Battery life remains the same, however, in three hours.

Other than the bump size, everything else remains the same with a ship date of November 21, scheduled for Japan and a target of Q1 for Europe.

In related news, Nintendo also used the XL ISD to hide some rather alarming results that show the financial benefits now stands at ¥ 69.49 billion euros ($ 770m), almost half of what she managed to the same period last year. Given our economy cataclysmic might be expected, but more worrying was the significant decline in sales of the Wii from April to September which saw 5.75m units sold – a fall of 43 per cent of this period last year.
