Nokia X6 Video Hands-on Brilliant Touchscreens

September 6, 2009 | Cell Phones, Component, Nokia | Comments Off

Although Nokia did not want to invite us to Nokia in the world this year, we had the chance to discover a pair of its new X6 combined on the floor at IFA Berlin. Under the hand, two engineering prototypes, one of which was peeling away its plastic shell while the other seemed less sensitive to our fingers that the other valves. Yet it is clear that the capacitive touchscreen is more responsive to human pressure than resistive screens available on the N97 or the 5800 XpressMusic above.

It was very clear when you use the keyboard to the screen although some of the sweeping gestures were inexplicably ignored in other parts of the interface. But given the choice of the screen is brilliant and super-awesome (remember, we are comparing to the legacy of resistive touch Nokia), we have to settle for the first time. Sure, here you still have S60 5th, for better or for worse, pumping away inside a little pudgy candybar – no screen technology may change that. See the action in the video after the break, then jump into the gallery to see the size with some of its S60 cousins five times removed. [via engadget]
