OKI MB260 LED All In One MultiFunction Printer
August 30, 2009 | Component, Computer, Electronics, Gadgets, Printer | Comments OffHow much would you expect to pay for a laser-based multifunction printer? Most come in at £ 150 – £ 200, but there are some scoring this starting point. MB260 OKI cost is just over 110 pounds to the price of the Internet by offering a few interesting extra features you do not expect a beginners level.

The MB260 is designed simply but with a stern and has a scanner section up high enough above the mono laser engine that forms the basis of the machine. Even so, the paper stop is quite awkward to point to the sky and is required to keep under control A4 pages. The flatbed 600ppi has a depth of 36-bit color and opposite this is the control panel, complete with LCD display and the paper clip tray.
There are some interesting features on the control panel. For starters, it features a keypad, although it is not on the fax machine. The keypad is used for the menu entry – each option has a number of shorthand code – and for safety. You all lock the machine, or simply a USB drive, if access is only available via keycode, very rarely available in a machine at this level something. It could be useful in preventing a mass of copies being run by your children or waste co-worker.
The LCD has two lines of 16 characters, but also a third row of icons specially designed for settings such as print quality. It is useful to have these extras and made another interesting, though perhaps trivial, function is the ability to print the Sudoku grids. There are 400 available, 100 in each of four levels of difficulty, and thoughtful, OKI has also integrated solutions.
Below the controls is pretty standard mono laser engine, with a main tray, which can take up to 200 sheets of 80gsm, so the capacity of 250 sheets listed on the spec sheet should be for a grade thinner. The USB front panel is complemented by the main USB connection on the back and there is no wireless network or provision, even though the manual describes the wireless configuration with a third party adapter.
