The Olympus mju 1000 is a camera with very good points offset by some rather bad. It is average for 10MP compact in terms of image quality, with good color and exposure, but poor control of noise and optical problems. Build quality, durability to weather, performance and ease of use are all good, but I poor low-light focus. The ISO 6400 setting is almost useless, but the Perfect Fix feature is very handy. It is worth watching if you need the anti-splashing, but there is more high-end compact market.
