Olympus Mju 9000 Mega Zoom Digital Camera

    October 21, 2009 | Digital Camera, Electronics, Gadgets | 1 Comment

The segment of mega zoom camera with a compact size has always been dominated by Panasonic TZ (Travel Zoom) camera series. Other brands already offered a mega-zoom camera with 18x zoom and bigger in their sets, so why produce another similar device in a compact size? However, it soon became evident that Panasonic has managed to strike the right chord with its TZ-series, which eventually led other brands, including Olympus, into action.

Since the introduction of the compact camera first, thousands of designs have been launched on the market. Lately, there seems to be more emphasis on color. Some camera models are now available in 6 different colors. The design however is generally predictable and a rectangular shape, with or without curved lines, integrated flash, LCD screen on the back, etc. This makes it a real challenge ahead with a true revolutionary, unique design. However, in most cases, it is simplicity that makes the trick with the IXUS is the best example. The base is nothing but a rectangle with a circle in the center. This is the basis of each and every Ixus.

Activation of the Olympus Mju 9000 is carried out just as I expected. After about 2 seconds, the device is ready to take the pictures. The control dial on the back of the device side of the screen offers several programs shooting. The simplest method is called the i-mode Auto. The camera automatically selects the best mode to capture the scene. It is a fully automatic mode that lets you take pictures in the best possible conditions for this particular scene, by simply pressing the shutter. This mode disables a number of functions in the unit. After activating the menu, you will not be able to access the menu of the camera, scene or panorama mode.

It is not so easy today for a manufacturer to stand out from the crowd. Many innovative technologies are readily available and can be used through a license to equip the device with all sorts of useful features. Each manufacturer has to deal with high resolution, we now see that 10 million pixels are regarded as a minimum, and also the issues that accompany it, such as noise, etc. We have had the Olympus Mju 9000 in the office for a short period of time and tested the camera in practice. In addition, the Mju 9000 has also been made by testing the technical DIWA test lab. [via letsgodigital]
