Opera 10 Software PC
September 25, 2009 | Computer, Software | 1 CommentLatest version of Opera for their browser was not long, but in its first week has been downloaded more than 10 million times, a review of Opera 10 has now shown on MacRumors and looks into the overall performance, the features and interface improvements.
Performance wise Opera performs well enough, but it is not the fastest browser available, they have conducted a series of tests on a MacBook 2GHz Core 2 Duo, one of the tests involved made a test page XHTML, Firefox took 2.66 seconds, Opera took 1.83 seconds and Safari 4 took 49 seconds.
Another test was a test CSS, Firefox was again the slowest taking 361M, Opera and Safari 152 ms again makes the best taking only 35 ms, where the opera itself was dropped performance with JavaScript, MacRumors have done the SunSpider JavaScript test, Opera took 6144.6 ms, 1464.4 took Firefox and Safari still the best score is 756.4 ms.Obviously benchmarks do not tell the whole story, design and functionality is also extremely important, certain features such as Speed Dial is great but some of these traits seem quite irrelevant in a Web browser.
