Orange Gadgets iGPS360 External GPS iPhone & iPod
If you have one of the first generation of mobile phones iPhone or iPod touch there was no way you could get a GPS device, unlike the proud owners of the new iPhone 3G devices, the least until now. A company called Orange Gadgets begun accepting pre-orders of their external GPS module for the iPhone and iPod touch claiming they will begin shipping the devices in the first few days (10/22/2008). You’ll have to prepare $ 75 for external GPS device and have in mind that in order to take advantage of it you’ll have to jailbreak your phone or music player, because the software that accompanies it.

IGPS360 The module is designed as a plug-in for your device and has a battery back-up which will store the information acquired last satellite GPS board, enabling a rapid re-GPS lock-time acquisition after the module has been temporarily disabled. You can always charge battery via an external USB port on the GPS and you should bear in mind that GPS will not escape from your iPhone or iPod to charge the internal battery backup.
You’ll need to install a GPS application on your iPhone or iPod Touch can access the iGPS360, because vessels Orange Gadgets you do the module hardware and not software. Fortunately, there are some good applications that make it work and the best software currently working with the module xgps is the software developed by xwave. You can also use the Hike.app Simba or roadmap, but these only work on firmware 1.x and not with newer versions are 2.x.
