Palm Pre Downloads From App Catalogue
June 23, 2009 | Cell Phones, Component, iPhone, Software | 2 CommentsIt was a little over two weeks since the launch of the upcoming Palm and Sprint stores sold quickly, there were not that many aircraft built in the first place. Palm is not being to get their way as they imagined. They hoped to take the fight to Apple iPhone 3G, but Apple had nothing of that, and with the launch of the Apple iPhone 3G S, things became much more severe for the front.

Gizmodo are Medialets said that download statistics for Palm’s App Catalog. Palm was hoping that this would become very popular for them, but the results are looking a bit sad right now. According to the report, the Palm App catalog only about 700,000 WebOS application downloads.
This result does not sound good, and we must remember that this figure is two weeks, and when you look at the first month than the iPhone AppStore has been in service, there were 60 million applications downloaded.
The biggest problem that the App catalog is its lack of WebOS apps. When the app store was launched it was just 18 apps, it now has 30 applications, compared to Apple who have 500 applications at launch. Apple struck a billionth download app. Palm has to do something quickly, otherwise the front will suffer seriously, they need at least a thousand applications before word on how the catch on the meadow is good.
