It has almost everything a beginner to serious amateur photographer could wish: very good to excellent image quality, superb optical wide-angle 18x optical zoom with effective image stabilization, rapid and accurate AF, even in the long term zoom and low light.
The Panasonic FZ18 is a superb Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens and it shows the quality of images. The effective optical image stabilization allows hand holding plans to the long focal length and shutter speed slow. The wide angle at a large camera and landscape plans group. A large 2.5-inch LCD monitors the development and composition easy. AF assistance to help achieve the lamp focus in low light. The board flash is quite good with a 6 m span.
There are lots of exposure flexibility, so if you are a beginner, you can start with Auto, Scene and Program AE exposure modes, then switch to the Shutter priority, Aperture priority and manual modes when you’re ready to learn and explore. Mode change, and using the various options available is intuitive. The Panasonic FZ18 is fast, convenient, without shutter lag. In fact, the auto focus is incredibly fast in a very sensitive ultra zoom digital camera.
