Each camera has a 7.2-megapixel CCD, a powerful 6x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 37-222mm on a 35mm film camera) and convenient AA battery operation. Both the DMC-LZ7 and DMC-LZ6 offer a range of features that improve usability and add convenience to digital imaging including: Quick Setting that allows users to quickly and easily access and set the functions used most often, Easy Zoom that instantly transforms the objective to full 6x zoom power at the push of a dedicated button, and date stamps that include both the date of the photo, the day of travel or the age of the person in the image itself.
Each camera accepts large-capacity SDHC memory cards for convenience shooting and flexibility. Powered by two of the original Panasonic, long oxyride dry batteries, the DMC-LZ7 can take approximately 250 photos and 260 plans LZ6 (CIPA) on one battery charge.
