The plasma screen on the mobile phone is built by AbleComm and will run on 1.5 volts of power. Panasonic claims that the plasma display requires no power or wiring. The plasma display is expected to provide better contrast ratios and color than most LCD screens offer the same size.

This small plasma display will be built by AbleComm and it was found that the owner component used in the helmets was exactly what Panasonic needed to complete to complete the development of low-voltage miniaturized plasma displays. This use of plasma screens in mobile phones should be less expensive than the use of OLED screens and will be as thin as OLEDs.
