Panasonic Unveils KAR Robot Arm Handles Dirty Dishes

Panasonic now believe their latest creation could be the case. The KAR robot arm developed by a group of researchers from Panasonic and the University of Tokyo seems to be the only task it was designed for relatively well. This is particularly brilliant on a day’s work when you come home from work exhausted and just want to sit on the couch for some TV. Although the robot arm KAR does not wash dishes for you, it was designed so that it is able to pick up your dishes gently without causing any damage, rinse them and load them in your washer dishwasher which is good enough for me!
The researchers apparently are not satisfied with things, however, and they say they hope that eventually robot will be able to clean up after a family of four in just five minutes. [ via blog ]
