Project Canvas Channel 4 & TalkTalk Multimedia
Proving more easily seduced than the sky, both TalkTalk and Channel 4 has announced they have signed on the proposed platform and provide digital delivery of television programming and online content. They join the BBC itself, ITV, Five and BT in committing to a project to create a platform for next-generation DTT and Freesat.

“Project Web can help ensure the future of free-to-air broadcasting, as well as create an opportunity for a wide range of public services and new business models to thrive with a open platform,” said the project director of Project Canvas Richard Halton. “We are delighted that TalkTalk and Channel 4 have joined the project”.
Currently painting project is verified by the sadly difficult to please BBC Trust. It will examine the benefits of the platform can provide and whether or not it interferes with the integrity of the BBC. In addition, despite a growing number of influential companies now behind Canvas, the BBC Trust is an experienced teacher and its approval is far from certain. [via trustedreviews]
