The Samsung Corby POP will be a very popular device in India for a number of reasons, the first is those weird colors, the second is the low-budget prices and the third is its social networking features. Add all these factors together and you end up with a handset that younger clients will do anything to have. There are some bad points of the Corby, such as its lack of Wi-Fi and 3G, which is something that younger customers are not happy. There is a more expensive model, the M5650, it offers two missing features but at a price.
The new Corby being released in India comes as a 1.5-megapixel camera instead of the standard 2-megapixel. The handset will always come with an FM radio and 22 MB of internal memory, unlike the original 40MB. Samsung must know what they are by downgrading the Pop Corby. [via product-reviews]
