Samsung HT-C6930 Exclusive Home Teater System
May 22, 2010 | MP3 Player, Portable Storage, Samsung | 4 CommentsHaving already launched the UK’s first 3D-ready TV and a Blu-ray (BD-the UE55C8000 and C6900, respectively), Samsung has emerged as a major driver of the 3D revolution. And now he seeks to consolidate its status with the HT-C6930W, the first 3D system compatible Blu-ray Home Cinema, which we reviewed here exclusively.

It is a great way to find a player capable 3D Blu-ray and complete sound system in one fell swoop, a packaging unit combined receiver Blu-ray and a pair of 7.1-channel speakers in one box. What’s more the left and right surround speakers are wireless, cutting a part of the echoes was concerned that home theater systems normally bring in your living room.
3D is the obvious highlight, but the HT-C6930W is not a trick horse. Like most Samsung systems, it is absolutely bursting with other functions, acts as a showcase of all that is cool in the world of home theater.
First though, we’ll talk about design, and like the HT-C6200 is an absolute stunner of C6930W. The receiver Blu-ray is not as flashy as other systems from Samsung, boasting a relatively simple, angular shape, but its height Slim (60mm) and gloss black finish to clean properly. That said, the black finish is incongruous with the style of unrestricted cash on Samsung 3D-Ready TV series 8000, which could be a problem if you want any game.
Under the flap on the fascia you’ll find a USB port and a microphone input for the automatic configuration, the more it is a display in the center which is a little too small for our liking. In addition to the unit is a row of touch sensitive buttons illuminated, see the window above the disc tray and the most exciting, brilliant 3D Blu-ray logo.
There is a complete selection of connectors on the rear panel, including the very important HDMI v1.4 capable of processing signals Full HD 3D. You also get two HDMI inputs for connecting other components, hi-def (Sky HD, PS3 etc) and channeling them into a single input on your TV.
Other sockets is interesting is a slot for a wireless card TX, radiating surround sound SWA-5000 wireless receiver to the back of the room. The pair of surround speakers connect terminals of color on the back of the receiver. The card and receiver are provided in the box.
Although the inclusion of 7.1 wireless rear speakers and is probably generous, there is a slight problem with the installation. The SWA-5000 only provides amplification for the surround speakers, but not the rear surround pair, so in a 7.1 channel configuration, you will always have the son of flight through the play, which beats a little object.
Completing the line-up are removed component and composite video, stereo analog and optical digital inputs, terminals for the supplied iPod dock iPhone / LAN and an Ethernet port.
This brings us to one of the HT-C6930W other key features – the network media streaming. Dubbed ALLSHARE, this feature allows DLNA allows you to play videos, music and photos stored on networked PC or NAS drives via Ethernet or Wi-Fi-up list of supported codecs and containers are full, and includes DivX (SD and HD), AVI, MKV, WMV HD, MPEG-4, MP3, WMA and JPEG. The system supports 802.11b, g and n, the latter offering a fast and stable connection which is better for video streaming hi-def. [via trustedreviews]
