Our interest in all things 3D inevitably meant that so far we have focused our attention on the review is over the range Samsung new TV. But it was probably at the bottom, where Samsung has struck gold as the last few years, always offering levels of functionality and performance that have hampered most if not all of its competitors the same price. Thus, while the surprisingly affordable LE32C580 may not have a 3D drawing in pencil end, we are always happy to have him sitting pretty on our test beds.

Well, perhaps “sitting pretty” was a bit exaggerated. LE32C580 The 32in is certainly attractive enough with his telescope brilliant, transparent outer “wings” and the subtle infusion of a dark red color in the bottom edge, but does not seem quite like a stand-out classic design that some of Samsung televisions Previous affordable. Although to be fair, this probably has more to do with other brands to dramatically improve their design TV Samsung lost its design.

Turning our attention to the back of the package, we find a fairly normal depth instead of wasting almost frightening edge of the range of LED from Samsung, as well as a rather sympathetic connections. You get four v1.3 HDMIs, for example – on one side, three rear. There is also an Ethernet port, a PC input D-Sub, and not one but two USB inputs, including television can be used to play JPEG, MP3 and video files, or to make the Wi-Fi via an additional option Wireless USB dongle.

Before this presentation, Ethernet and Wi-Fi dongle starts You dream of going online with your new Samsung TV market, however, it is time for a rude awakening. For LE32C580 does not allow you to access the Internet from Samsung @ platform online TV. Unfortunate, yes, but not surprising on a £ 400 TV.

So what can you do with the Ethernet port and optional wireless dongle? Well, you can update the firmware of the TV, or access things on a DLNA PC via your local network. This media key is not really a discovery at all bad on such an affordable TV.

The Ethernet port is also required on LE32C580 because it has a HD tuner – something else we would not necessarily expected to find on a TV sub-£ 400 32in. And if the Ethernet port will add television to the BBC iPlayer to its list of features when the service is ready to deploy – and, potentially, other services. [via trustedreviews]
